Outstanding! Thats the best way I can describe David's work and dedication to his cutomer. I could not be happier than I was at the completion of the work that Duramax Concrete Coatings, LLC. did for me.
I reached out to David via their web page for information and a price. I was called back the next evening and we scheduled an appointment. He showed up on-time and got down to business, understadning what my wants/needs were. He measured the floor area and gave me a quote right on the spot - which is IMMEDIATELY ACCEPTED! His price was significantly better than those from closer to the Mainline areas. He contacted me the next day with a date, which was a couple weeks out (which was perfect). It gave me time to come up with a plan to remove everything form the garage (I rented a U-haul and kept it in my driveway, almost dirt cheap since I didnt put more than 15 miles on).
I contacted David a week prior to confirm the original dfate worked, which it did. That allowed me to put my plan to clear the garage and sinmce it was going to be empty, paint the walls.
Two days prior, David called me to inform me of a delay due to another job having an issue, he expalined his dilemma and I understood.
The day came and David and Dave, were here at 7:15 backing into the driveway to get work started. he and I walked everything down to ensure I knew what they were going to do and confirmed the color choice with me. I have a car lift in the garage that is unable to be removed from the garage, but is portable, so he looked at the blocks I was going to put it up on to make sure he could still coat around the pedestals.
The got right to work, hand grinding the foundation blocks and the concrete floor. They use a dustless system, but it still creates quite a bit of dust. They worked to minimize the dust and emptying the vacuum often into bags to haul away.
As Day 1 went on, the ground the floor, making sure to hit the high spits that remained, cleanign up the concrete dust and than vauuming the entore floor and the foundation. Once it was clean, they used a blower to make the final prep.
At the end of day 1, they applied the basecoat and the flake. i watched the flake application as it was being dumnped on to ensure they were not and light areas. Without a top coat, it looked great!
They cleaned up, packed the truck and headed out to the nedt morning. Again showing up by 7:30, they got right to work preparing the floor by scraping the excess flaks and vacuuming once again. Once that was completed, they mixed the topcoat epoxy, hand coated the foundation blocks and some of the areas around the garge doro rails. The clear apoxy coats went on with a sqeegee and back-rolled to create a smooth gloss sheen. It really looked great as they wrapped up the job.
Because I had 4 small 5"x5" areas that could not be coated under the blocks for the lift pedestals, David gave me containers of pre-measured base coat and epoxy, along with a flake. Once the garage had dried, I'd be able to roll the lift and since the floor was prepped, just apply a heavy base coat and flake, scrape and epoxy coat. It was super easy for a couple small spots and it avoided him coming back out.
The garage looks aboutly outstanding, the quality ifs excellent, the work is equally as impressive and both David and Dave are great to have perform this work. they are friendly and talk to you about each stepo and answered a lot of my curious questions while I watched each step of the work.
I have to recommend Duramax to the highest possible extent. The price is way better, the work is quality and they treat customers great. I'm sure this floor will outlast me in time.
